Delegate Otto Wachsmann has proudly served in the Virginia House of Delegates since January 2022, representing the 83rd District, which includes Emporia, Brunswick, Greensville, Southampton, Sussex, and parts of Dinwiddie and Isle of Wight. A lifelong Virginian, Otto brings decades of experience as a pharmacist, assistant professor at the Bernard J Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University, home office manager at the AH Robins Company, fireman and small business owner where he works every day to deliver results for families, farmers, small businesses, and rural communities.
A Lifetime of Service
Before serving in Richmond, Otto was serving his neighbors — first as a volunteer firefighter and later as a community pharmacist, protecting families and building trust.

Recognized for carrying HB1162 (2022), which protected rural healthcare centers by ensuring fair prescription reimbursements.
